Benefits of hiring a pet sitter

Helps socialize your pet

Animals that are around people and other animals tend to be relaxed and less aggressive.  It helps pets to be more well rounded when they are in their own surroundings around people who genuinely care for them and tend to their needs.

Provides one to one attention for your furry family member

One to one care provides a more relaxing atmosphere resulting in a calm, affectionate encounter for your pet.  Your dog or cat can rely on maintaining his or her normal routine which is stabilizing and familiar.

Prevents separation anxiety

When you leave your home your pet can not reason when you will return.  Having a pet sitter visit while you are away helps to quell any sense of anxiety your pet may feel having their people gone for the day or longer.

Keeps your pet healthier

Having a pet sitter caring for your dog minimizes the amount of exposure to other animal carrying unwanted illnesses or infections.  Your pet sitter will monitor your dog or cat for any signs of distress or illness and can take them for medical care if needed.

Someone to check on your home while you are away

Pet sitting is more than just pet care.  Having a sitter checking you home provides a "sense of presence" to an otherwise empty house.  Your sitter can also help with household chores like watering plants, taking out the garbage or bringing in mail or package deliveries.
